Top 5 now

I personally do not really feel that Singapore Idol has such a great impact on me, but recently, I just could not stand how deaf in hearing Singapore has became and had the urge just to blog about this... Last night’s assessment of the idols, from best to you-cant-sing.

1. Hady

Come on, who can argue that he was the best performer that night. He has always been the most consistent of the top 12. Every week, if you see contestants just singing horribly, you can count on hady to boost your mood. Even though I don’t understand malay, but when hady sang his mother tongue song, I really thought it was good. When you make someone who does not understand the language which you are singing and they think that you are good, you have just amazed everyone. And making people like ken lim say that you have performed the best, you are really the best. That’s hady.

2. Paul Twohill

We all know that he is from catholic high. And that is the half the reason why I have been watching Singapore idol every week. I still remember last week when they announced that asian pop was to be sung, me, hp, mc and ceph were thinking about how the hell is paul going to pull this act? Firstly, he sang ‘I want you’. I was like, paul is going to own everyone this week. He has been practicing this song over and over again at CHMA 2005 last year, how can he not perform it well? When he sang 存在, I was going “ lets see what can paul do, and he totally amazed us with really good rendition of the song ( at least for someone looking least Chinese looking)

3. Jasmine

It can really be seen that she is constantly improving over the weeks and Singapore has made a correct choice by letting her stay. I feel that jasmine has the voice to sing but the problem is that she does not know how to use her ‘power’. I felt that she was able to carry the Chinese song pretty well, the only problem being her diction.

4. Jonathan

He is kind of deteriorating as the weeks pass by. He is able to only sing songs which are low. Example? Look at how he screwed up his Chinese song, totally off… his English song ( some song from electrico) was pretty good, suited his low voice. But jonathan has got to improve his high voice, if not he is able to sing low songs only, which is pretty boring.

5. Nurul

Technically speaking, there is nothing wrong with nurul;s singing. I just don’t like the fact that nurul just picks the easy and neat songs. Which has successfully bored me. Other than that there is nothing wrong. She should take the risk.

6. Joakim

Hey ! I seriously dunno how you got so far, seriously I did not have the impression that you were good and until now, I still don’t think so you should be in. Being off-key countless times has not got him. I guess those young and deaf girls are just voting him because of his looks.

Who went out : Nurul

Who should have went: Joakim

I am not going to say anything except show quotes from the judges

“ May I ask the crowd to be silent for a few seconds, see joakim, that sounds better than you”

“I think that the audience should let you have a exit” (something like that)

Tomorrow returning English, super worried… =(

Great Weekend

A great week must come with a great weekend… I was very slack this weekend…

Saturday. I had woken up at 12noon. Really had to catch lots of sleep after sleeping only 6 hours on weekdays… I had tuition at 1 before going off for CIP at the bishan heights… I reached there at 4, MC was really there (obviously, since he lives there), I was walking around looking at what was being set up. Looking at their AV system, I don’t think they were on a very high budget. Speakers which pierce your ears with too much treble and little bass. So we had waited for a long time, before miss leong. At first she told us to help out at the games stall. I was like, em ok? I thought we were supposed to help out for the AV? But never mind, just have to talk cock with MC, Shanwei and Melvin lor… so talk and talk and talk. Until finally after dinner when miss leong had finally asked us to do something like AV duty, which is to bring down the equipment after the co have performed. -_-'' so after that we were watching some shows, kinda funny especially with your friends… then, again, it was our duty again, we had to set-up gu zheng, yang qin and the Chinese drums. Sounds kind of CHMA huh? The funny part was that their AV people didn’t know how to mic up a gu zheng, yang qin and the ti zi…lol they had shifted their plastered mic stand around the stage, but they still dunno how to set up. Somemore, before that, they only had 2 dynamic mics which were barely able to pick up the orchestra… after that we had brought back all the equipment to school. Didn’t want to help modern dance as their performance was real unorganized, using tables and chairs… novelty does die out. I dare say that the primary school modern dance are better than the secondary ones… In the process of carrying the instruments back, we had realized how creepy the school was at night, especially when you are walking alone…

What a week...

Sorry for not updating for such a long time. Really had no time and I was kind lazy.

Thursday. The day was kinda good at first, with teachers like mr ong and miss leong joking with us and such things. But during PW, things were like, WTF ? The day started when my PW group realized that zhe wen was not here, so we assumed that we need not present as project work is graded based on individual performance. Until the fact that mr teo came into class and scolded us like mad. I suppose mrs ding told him that 2 out of 3 groups were unable to present as one grp had a presenter absent (my grp) and another group had forgetten to bring their presentation. Mr teo started to talk about how our class have slowly change for the ‘worst’. Blah, blah, blah. I had not cared so much about that as I felt that I was not one of those who created trouble in class. What had totally pissed me off was the fact that mr teo had said this. “I am very disappointed, 2 out of 3 groups are unable to present and 2 group gave me a lame excuse saying that their presenter was not here” I was going wtf ???? the other group never bring their presentation and you say that our group has given the lamest excuse?

Friday. Nothing in particular happened. During pe, I was standing at my own area, whacking any Frisbee which came in the way. The English forum was kind of boring too… then it was iMedia, we had training at first, I was practically repeating all the lines over and over again, was damn sian. After that got committee meeting, mr wang had bought a new camera-phone with 3.2 megapixels, and it was a sick gadget. We had experimented with it and mr wang showed us that it was able to take 8 photos in what? 2 seconds? And that time the only thing you see moving is john’s lips… we finished discussing at around 8 when we went home, the area was pitch black. Jh was super scared lah…

Will update tomorrow about sat and sun… =) kinda dissappointed that arsenal drew...

Tests are over...

Tests are over...but here comes the results…

First things first. Chelsea lost! Ah ha, they just deserve it. Bunch of idiots. People like Mourino just managing ‘great’ players such as ballack, wright-phillips etc. Although they might have won the premiership twice in a row, they are still amateur people. Why? Because of the fact that they just spend their money to buy big players and they do nothing else. Clubs like Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool may not be the best clubs but I personally feel that they are the ones who put in effort to at least create superstars. Just look at Arsenal, they produced Fabregas, Viera, Henry, Van Persie etc.

Monday. The usual crap, nothing in particular. When it was science, mr ong went through an experiment blah blah blah. Then he wanted to announce our results 1 by 1 in front of the class. He had asked whether anyone objected or not. No one raised their hand. I guessed that everyone did not dare to raise their hand. Well at least that was the case for me. We had skipped another lesson of art. So far out of 8 weeks we had only had 2 lessons. 1 lesson was used for showing of video clips another was used for discussing. Totally no time for editing, and next week must pass up…. So no art, what did we do? Play soccer lor! We played against 2-7. Bunch of people who suck at soccer. In front of goal also cannot score. I am sure we scored uncountable number of goals.

Tuesday. Maths paper was returned in the second period. I had scored 28/30. Damm it, could have gotten full marks if not for careless mistakes. HCL paper also return already. Gotten a score of 62.5/100. ok already lah, considering that I have never scored so high before, at least not below 50… Science paper was returned during science. Realised that I had made much careless mistakes in the calculations, got my sig fig screwed up.

I realized something, this common test was full of careless mistakes for me. Still kinda worried for Eng, scared will fail… Must improve next term

untitled ?

Really could not think of a title for my post. Real slack this week on tuesday it was the NDP celebration then it was speech day. The NDP celebration was boring but this time, i see people talking to each other and the teachers not caring either. I guess everyone just wants to go home and dont care about studying. The speech day was super boring a whole long list of people going up to recieve a prize and the rest of the people waiting below... Then on tuesday and wednesday i was either on the computer or just laying on the couch watching TV...

But, all these ended fast enough, with going back to school on Friday. In the morning i was reading my chinese textbook cause got 重默写 after school... Then in the morning they announced that there was a softball match and 10 people from each class had to go cheer the team... So the 重默写 was postponed to next wed. Yay ! After school it was iMedia meeting... We watched some short films at first before the audio crew had to tie up all the wires in the studio... Then it was the commitee meeting. Planning for the iMedia camp etc...

Now many projects... AGAIN. Ms Cheang super pissed with our class on friday so she push forward the deadline for our project, i did not even understand the project clearly.... Stupidity. Then got the 语文描写 to find, how to find ?!

EPL is coming again, cannot wait

Over...

Yesterday was one of the best days! Lets start on what happened first...

Maths. Confident. I had finished the first 3 questions in 5 minutes and had 50 minutes for the 2 graphs. Took my time, slowly did the graphs so that they would have a higher accuracy. Hope can get full marks !! Next was maths, boring, the right angled triangle theroem... Geography. Miss Tan damn fast, returned the papers already, i scored 28/35, hope to be able to get at least 2 more marks =P. During recess, i wasa playing soccer with 2-3 people on the track when manfred kicked the ball all the way up to the 4th floor and had hit one of the windows. WTF ?! I was practically distracted during english period thinking about the handover.

So it was time, i sought permission from Mr Wang to skip the speech day =P. First Mr Wang began telling us about iMedia, saying that we are a very honoured cca to have so much professional equipment etc. Next Ceph was talking about his 4 years at iMedia... Then the secondary 4 excos began to announce the new commitee. It is as follows...

President: Henry
Secondary 3 EXCOs : Yu Hung, John, Roy
Secondary 2 EXCOs : Jit Hin, Joshua, Michael and me

Yay! Next we went to have food outside the studio. Then we went to the plaza to play soccer. Everyone was pumping the ball up and down in the plaza had almost hit the 69K 灿烂明天 lots of times =P. Super fun. When we went back to the studio, it was taupok time, first it ws john to go down. It was sort of all right at first when dexter was on the stack, but when teow kuang was on the stack, everyone began sliding down. With John being the greatest casualty. Then Ceph was tricked into being taupoked. When MC came in he said "Si beh suay !" Then Ceph was like "get michael !!" I knew that next was me i tried to escape but lin de wont allow... Ceph was the first on me then came the rest. At first it was ok but dunno who came on the stack when everyone started to lose their balance. Then my specs bagan to slide off my face and brusies were all over. It was so many people on the stack until cannot breathe at all. Understand the word HARDCORE ? My spec got bent until i had to use pliers to bend it back... I learnt something on the lights when you taupok !!!

We played soccer at the plaza again with People like ceph, shao and sung rui. Many funny things happened. Like when i had pumped the ball over 灿烂明天 and when jit hin had pissed sung rui off when jit hin had made sung rui look like a fool before scoring.. We had left had 7.10pm... In all, we had a great time. Bring on 2-7 !!

I will add pictures the next time, blogger got problem today...

Lang all over

Languages. The subjects which area to study is infinity. Is finally over.

Chinese was pretty ok, considering in front is 填写词语, the comprehension was just copy and paste hope i copied correctly. In other words it was just something which required your handwriting skills. Next was PE, super fun, considering i had the urge to play soccer for the past few days... Nvm, this friday, handover we shall play soccer. Must ask Dexter to bring his blue ball...

Other then that the rest of the day was quite boring...

Pretty short post, nothing to write, but dont worry Friday sure got long post plus taupok pictures
