Seriously, I really wish to thank the guy who invented something called the RSS Feed.

With the Internet increasing in content as the days go past, obtaining daily information of the net is seriously getting on the nerves of many netizens.

Imagine, turning on your computer day after day, following your daily routine of checking the various websites such as BBC, ESPN, CNA etc for daily news is something extremely taxing.

It is something like going out to a newspaper stand every single day to get your newspaper. And not only that, once you have obtained your newspapers, you would then have to look through them and eventually, you would only read the news that you have interest in.

Then came something called the RSS Feed:

With the RSS Feed, newspapers can be seen to show a whole list of the daily news and you would choose whatever you want and neglect the rest. Moreover, news comes to you and not the other way round!

These days, with the increasing schoolwork, RSS has indeed been a good friend of mine. Be it reading blogs, checking Arsenal.com (whether Flamini or Hleb is leaving), RSS certainly makes it a breeze.

Now with Feed Sidebar, an extension for Firefox, RSS reading has never been of greater ease!

A Chelsea "Fan"

I was a Chelsea fan for 2 hours yesterday. But only for 2 hours.

If circumstances permit, I am sure everyone would love and want to sleep at 10pm again huh?

I guess the Secondary Four life is not as simple and easy as I thought. I mean, at the end of last year, various teachers have already warned us that the next year would be one that would be extremely tough and it would be a year that we would face homework, homework and more homework. What comes after homework? Revision.

I guess its a vicious cycle that never ends. Once we are done with the homework given, teachers would then let us know that there is a class test the very next day or the day after. So homework, done, studying is next. Class tests over? Homework comes back at us...

What a cycle!

Another example of a vicious cycle in Secondary 4? Sleep is Scarce.

Everyday (except for Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays), we are to turn up in school for remedial at 7am.... The various remedial sessions are seriously taxing! At the start, we started appreciating the teacher's efforts to boost our academic standard, but as time went past, we realised that with the increasing revision and homework, little time could be used for studying and homework. Time that is used for the above actions would only result in us taking up more time, leading us to 'burn midnight oil'. Literally.

The next morning, we would have to wake up at preposterously early hours to arrive in school early for the remedial at 7am. School starts at 7.40am. Even 10mins of extra sleep seems heavenly now...

Monday to Friday. School starts at : 7am. School ends at : 4pm

Taking that we have 6 hours of sleep and lets say roughly 3 hours for our meals and getting home, we would have....

24-6-9-3 = 6 Hours for studying and Homework every single day.

Maybe some of the 6hours for this has leaked into leisure time for us? Maybe so. But you cannot deny that the O Levels would be a race against time

If only the world was so simple huh?

The previous time whereby I had neglected my blog was due to the fact that I had simply no time for it, having to manage both the CHMA blog and my personal blog, it was very hectic. When the schoolwork came in, I simply gave up. Ironically, at the present moment, I am still managing the CHMA blog and now, surprisingly this blog too.... Wow, guess better time management is good huh?


Anyway probably a random thought...

I realised that there is quite a great variance of views that the Pure History and the Pure Geography students have on the world's political affairs (correct me if i am wrong).

The Pure History students would constantly give and express their comments and views on the various political problems around the world. Be it for or against the situation. I realised that we have been discussing more about political issues this year. With the escape of Mas Selemat, the Tibet Issue in China and America's political affairs (American always seems to attract attention huh?). Maybe the study of historical affairs such as the Cold War and the Southeast Asian History equipped us with a better skills to take on the world affairs? Maybe so.

Its has been long....

If I don't recall wrongly, the last time I had updated, I said that I would constantly TRY to update. But as many would have probably seen, I failed terribly. Lol. Anyway, I had not deleted this blog mainly due to a couple of reasons...

Firstly, I simply could not bear to delete hundreds of posts (such a waste of effort). And Secondly, I had harboured some hope that MAYBE, MAYBE some day I would update this blog... Which I have done today.....

Maybe I would continue updating? We shall see, at least I took the first step... =)
