Results.

After a Single week of being a Couch Potato at home, I decided to return back to school on Thursday and Friday to settle some issues regarding CHMA.

Back to school in Week 2, there was the script-checking to 'look forward to'.

I remember waking up at 4am to catch the Euros live on Starhub. Watched Spain play some attractive football, Senna missing the goal after sliding in and the victorious Spanish Team hoisting the trophy in delight. At least it was a bright start. Slept at 5 and woke up at 7 for school.

After 3 gruelling days of Pure Script Checking, I have learned/concluded the following points :

1. Yes. Our Batch is somewhat like France. I recall Mr Krishnan mentioning during the SS script check, that our batch is the brightest batch that the school has ever had - we had the achieved the best results last year - in the whole of Cat High history.

However, this year, our grades have deproved - considerably. Yeah, yeah, everyone is saying, 'I am slacking now, I am not even studying, I am sure that once I start, the 6points are in the bag. But actually, the truth is : It's not that simple. Not only do you have to break down that wall that is obstructing you to your A1, but you would also have to maintain that '1' you have.

3 months is not alot of time.

2. A Negative thought. I fully understand the pains that the CL Dept have gone through to help us in our chinese. Seriously, I do. Coming down on Saturdays and staying back late in the night to mark our scripts. But the thing is, they have probably done it once too many. In fact, from what I know, many avid lovers of the language have already expressed some discontent for the language. Of course, that does not deter us from striving for the Distinction, but well, you get what I mean.

Moreover, a particular action had somewhat pissed me off rather badly. That was when they had released us late for recess during the script check. Sure, we were noisy - that I would have to confess to. But that was no reason to hold us back. We had 3 hours of intensive script checking for which all of the 3 hours, we had our eyes peeled, looking at the papers. The "Saviour" arrived when he vomited due to Gastric Problems. The Dept were scared out of their wits - they immediately released us off.

Come On! Time to view the problem from another perspective!

Overall, the results for the Prelims were rather ok. Some were dissappointing (think Biology), some were rather surpirsing (think SS) and some were well, full of excitement that left me in euphoria (think History). Need to work harder on the Languages and Biology!!

It's Homecoming tomorrow! CHMA tickets are on sale outside the General Office.

To all the 4-8 guys who have bought/purchased the tickets : "I love you guys! Thanks for the support!"
